ULB Culture designs or programs exhibitions that reflect the values of the university: they promote dialogue between cultures and the deconstruction of stereotypes by evoking societal issues. They offer visibility to cultural or scientific projects carried out by the faculties and research centres of the ULB.

EXPO I am here invites you to explore its relationship with self-image, from the long tradition of self-portraiture to today’s digital practices. Through a journey that weaves together art, science and interactive installations, the exhibition probes the social, psychological and political dimensions of self-representation.

GUIDED TOUR “I visit the expo” offers to guide you through the course of the multidisciplinary exhibition I am here. We will introduce you to the history of the self-portrait from the 19th century to the present day in Belgium, and we will give you keys of understanding to reflect together on contemporary selfie practices.
