EXPO Marie Zolamian: Confabulations

EXPO Lutz Bacher: Burning the Days

GUIDED TOUR A glimpse behind the scenes and at the exhibitions with the Kets

OPEN MUSEUM Guided tour in French-Belgian sign language (LSFB)

Paid entrance, no reservation required.

WIELS is a contemporary art centre located on avenue Van Volxem in Forest. As one of the most important contemporary art institutions in Europe, WIELS is dedicated to the presentation and production of temporary exhibitions by national and international artists.

EXPO Marie Zolamian’s work invokes constellations where interior geographies, fabulated presences and microhistories intertwine to form visual worlds operating between observation and imagination. Through painting, moving image, sound, drawing and site-specific work, Confabulations considers how memory is continuously reactivated and transformed, opening new routes towards shared imaginaries.

EXPO Burning the Days offers an expansive view of conceptual artist Lutz Bacher’s provocative, genre-defying oeuvre that exists across a wide range of found materials. Moving between affect and sentiment, humor, and pop-cultural touchstones, the exhibition turns to unflinching examinations of sexuality, violence, political paranoia, and cosmic metaphysics.

GUIDED TOUR On the occasion of Brussels’ Museums Nocturnes, WIELS will stay open until 10 pm. The program includes guided tours of the Marie Zolamian and Lutz Bacher exhibitions led by WIELS guides, a behind-the-scenes visit to the contemporary art center with the KETS mini-ambassadors.
