The Foundation A is a photography foundation located in Forest, founded in 2012 by Astrid Ullens de Schooten Whettnall and recognized as a public-interest institution. It supports the creation, knowledge, and conservation of photography. Each year, the foundation organizes three exhibitions, complemented by a public program that includes lectures, guided tours, nocturnes, and workshops for children.
EXPO RePose ExPose CounterPose, curated by Sonia Voss, presents a retrospective of Tarrah Krajnak (Lima, 1979), whose work explores identity, memory, and art history through photography, performance, and archival practice. The exhibition highlights key series such as 1979: Contact Negatives, Master Rituals, and RePose, alongside new projects, exploring the intimate and the collective, personal stories, and shared struggles.
GUIDED TOUR During the Nocturne, you are invited to join a guided tour at the A Foundation. Learn more about the Foundation and enjoy an introduction to the exhibition RePose ExPose CounterPose, featuring the work of Tarrah Krajnak. You will round off your visit with a drink.
