Founded in 1970, the MMRA has grown into a leading and international museum with an exceptional collection of religious and spiritual works of art from before and after WW II. The museum investigates the iconography and meaning of religious and spiritual art in the period of its creation as well as for the contemporary man.
EXPO In search of an up-to-date design for building a new church in the 1920-30’s: the virtuosity of architect-designer Albert Van huffel shows in his sketches and drawings for national basilica in a pure Art Deco style, are shown with selected artworks of the MMRA which reflect this spirit.
GUIDED TOUR Join a guided tour led by an enthusiastic guide, who brings the exhibition’s artworks to life and explains their present-day place within the basilica.
