Founded in the 14th century, the Black Sisters played a key role in caring for the sick and the poor in Brussels. Based near Halles Saint-Géry for centuries, they left the city in 1998. Their legacy now resonates in the Koekelberg Basilica, where refined Art Deco architecture, harmonious design and striking historic and contemporary stained glass meet.
