CINEMATEK is located rue Baron Horta, in the centre of Brussels. The mission of the Royal Belgian Cinematheque is to preserve and pass on their cinematographic heritage to the public.   


EXPO The Wunderkammer is a permanent exhibition in CINEMATEK that explores the fascinating origins of the cinematic experience! Each display highlights precinema objects, showing how science and craftsmanship combined to create inventions that led to film.


WORKSHOP During this workshop, you will have the opportunity to work hands-on with analog film! CINEMATEK provides film stock, a 35mm projector, and various tasks that allows you to better understand the physical aspects of filmmaking while unleashing your creativity!

CONCERT During the Nocturnes, CINEMATEK invites you to fully immerse yourself in our theatres. Experience a unique screening of a selection of silent, surrealist short films by Belgian filmmakers, accompanied live by the singing choir Ravekoor, which will improvise on the spot.
