GUIDED TOUR Saints, governesses, historians, workers, artists… whether famous or unknown, visible or invisible, they have all contributed to shaping Brussels. With International Women’s Day just a few days away, this unique tour offers the opportunity to meet a dozen of these female figures through the museum’s collections. It is a chance to discover their stories and reflect on the role of women in the development of the city.

EXTRA MUROS Developed by the Museum, this historical walk lasts approximately two hours, starting at the Grand-Place and exploring the city centre neighbourhoods where gay and lesbian community gathered in the 19th and 20th centuries. Anecdotes and stories trace the evolution of these places in parallel with that of the society of their time. The tour celebrates Brussels’ diversity and ends at the RainbowHouse, an iconic LGBTQIAP+ venue.
