The UCLouvain campus in Woluwe boasts a 2.5-hectare park open to the general public. The Paul Moens medicinal plant garden is named after its founder, a professor of general and plant biology and pharmacogenesis at UCLouvain.
EXPO From lavender to belladonna and carrots to lilies, it all grows in the 400 plots of the Medicinal Botanical Garden Paul Moens.
WORKSHOP As part of the Biennial of WAW – P(ART)COURS / PAR(KUNST) / PARK(ARTS) and the Brussels Museums Nocturnes, Arte-Fac, in charge of promoting culture on the UCLouvain Brussels Woluwe campus, has invited Caroline Le Méhauté. She creates poetic forms that intimately question our relationship with living things, and she pays particular attention to the soil and its regeneration. The exploration of the Jardins des Plantes and Jardins des Sculptures is followed by a workshop to create “seed bombs”. These seed bombs eliminate pollution from the soil. This gentle method of cleaning up pollution is also known as “phytoremediation”. You can then hatch your own creations from the workshop at home or in the Sculpture Garden.
