EXPO Kids Town

EXPO pre-architectures

EXPO Marcel Broodthaers

GUIDED TOUR pre-architectures

WORKSHOP pre-architectures

CIVA, Centre for Information, Documentation and Exhibitions on the city and architecture in the Brussels-Capital Region, is a museum, archive and collection centre, library, and meeting place. Discover the museum, its exhibitions and activities and its unique building.

EXPO The Kids Town, our permanent exhibition, is designed to introduce young and old in a playful way to Brussels’ architecture and urbanism. Immerse yourself in the world of contemporary architecture with models, furniture, drawings, plans, and archival documents from CIVA as well as other collections, both public and private.

EXPO With the participation of a transdisciplinary field of architects, artists, sociologists and archeologists, the exhibition pre-architectures critically unveils how the study of prehistory might uncover not only causes of modernity’s present crisis, but also signs of architecture’s future past.

EXPO The Architect is absent (26.02.2025 – 29.06.2025) gauges the engagements with architecture, design, and the city of Marcel Broodthaers (1924–1976) between roughly 1957 and 1967. During this decade, he took up journalism and photography, made his first artworks, and established the key orientations for his emerging practice as an artist and writer.
