Discover the house where the famous scholar Erasmus stayed in 1521. Today, it houses a collection of paintings by Old Masters such as Hieronymus Bosch and Hans Holbein, a rich collection of old prints, a Medicine Garden and a Philosophy Garden.
EXPO The avant-garde ceramics of Yves Malfliet are theatrical and often disturbingly ambiguous. Behind the mask of entertainment sometimes lie sarcasm, bitter reality, and narrative absurdity — a form of humour that can also be found in certain Erasmian works.
TASTING Enjoy a varied evening at the Erasmus House! Start your evening with a guided tour, available in Dutch, French but also in LSFB (French-Belgian sign language). Hearing-impaired parents can entrust their children aged 3 to 6 to accompanying adults so that they can fully enjoy this activity.
In addition to the tour in LSFB, artist Yves Malfliet presents his temporary exhibition Olé ! Désiré ! (in Dutch and French). You will end this exceptional evening by tasting a delicious local beer, La Saint-Guidon, and water flavoured with flowers from the medicinal garden.
