EXPO "Kim En Joong"

BEHIND THE SCENES – Demonstration stained glass – During this nocturne, the glass artist Erwan Haine will bring his workshop to the Basilica and show how stained glass is fabricated.

STANDING GUIDES – From light and glass to the meeting of Kim en Joong – Ask the standing guide! Explore the exhibition dedicated to South Korean artist Kim En Joong, creator of Basilique’s three most recent stained glass windows. He also creates paintings and enamels that emphasize color and light. Trained at the School of Fine Arts in Seoul, he soon became interested in Western painting and, in particular, impressionism, cubism and abstract art.

In addition to its two museums (Museum of the Black Sisters & Museum of Modern Religious Art) and its galleries, the Basilica invites you to discover the stained glass windows of Korean artist Kim En Joong tonight. You can also visit the different exhibition spaces dedicated to Harry Elström and Norbert De Clercq and admire the panoramic view from the Basilica’s dome.
